Adventures of the masked swordsman, Zorro, as drawn by Hall of Fame artist Alex Toth.
This collection includes all of the Toth-drawn Zorro stories from Dell-Western in the late 1950s, some of which Toth touched up for this collection. Originally published with very, VERY bad color, this collection presents the stories in black and white, which manages to put some of the zing back in Toth's artwork. Toth does the swashbuckling adventure rather well, but this still isn't his best work. He is also hampered by some pretty bad writing and an editorial policy that gave him little control over the layout of his pages, leaving them somewhat clumsier than other Toth efforts created elsewhere. Think of it as a Toth art book with some mediocre story bits shoe-horned in and you'll like it just fine.
