    “Superman” Review

Superman: Directed by James Gunn. With David Corenswet, Alan Tudyk, Grace Chan, Bradley Cooper. Superman must reconcile his alien Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as reporter Clark Kent. As the embodiment of truth, justice and the human way he soon finds himself in a world that views these as old-fashioned.

I got to experience this the same day that I traveled from Florida to Pennsylvania with a day that started at 3am and this showing was at 10pm at an AMC PRIME theater, which was a first for me. The seats were heated, they reclined all the way down and they had a table that swung around in front of the seat, it was a very nice experience.

Non Spoiler review: this is a good film that’s well worth your time to see in a theater. It has issues that I can easily overlook.

    Spoilers below:
While i ultimately enjoyed the film, i have some complaints, and really did not like how the final Krypto scene played out. In fact, I didn’t like this version of Krypto at all, he was a untrained dangerous dog that only rarely followed commands and honestly was a threat to every human he came within a mile of. I’m surprised because i really enjoyed the Peacemaker and Creature Commandos series, so I’m sad they missed the mark so wildly here with the big blue boyscout. I did like the casting, but the middle east political thing was just goofy and having the major parts of the movie happen off screen was baffling. For as much as i disliked Snyders decisions to make superman a murderer, Man of Steel was still a vastly better Superman film.

To be clear, I will be purchasing the Steelbook when it comes out so I can complain further. Also, you should go see it so we can complain about it together.
